You don’t need fixing
What if there’s nothing wrong with you?
Nothing to get fixed or get rid of, no need to be different or less of anything.
I believe that discovering, getting to know and integrating more parts of you—becoming more you—is the way to what you want. I approach our time together with full acceptance and inclusion of all parts of you, and invite you to explore where you want to go, at your speed.

I think the wisdom is in you to know what you need and where you need to go. Rather than telling you what to do, I accompany you on the journey, offering a helping hand and encouraging you when things feel tough, sometimes pointing out features and options you may not even have realised were there. That way, new—often unimagined—possibilities open up.
Bring it all
It's totally ok to bring anything you want to our sessions—all parts of you are welcome. Really! I know many people sense they can't bring the topic of sexuality into therapy, however I'm equally comfortable with that as anything else. Even if you feel a bit awkward I won't be!
Practicalities
We meet online, or in person in Devon.
Together, we work out the frequency of sessions that works best for you.
Fees are on a sliding scale according to ability to pay.
What next
The first step is to book a video call for you to know the rapport is there for you to go to the places in yourself you need to, and to ask any questions. This is free, with no obligation to take anything further.

I’m Bethan Evans
I spent years looking for the 'magic bullet' which would fix what I saw as the problem of my essential brokenness. It turns out that what I needed was to accept myself, to include all parts of myself—including the very parts I saw as the problem.
The paradox is that I couldn't truly move forward and make lasting change until I stopped fighting with how I was! I see now that those parts of me which feel so much pain are exactly the ones that give me access to deep empathy and acceptance of others. That actually they expand me and my capacity to be with and hold others in all the joy, despair and everything in between, including their ‘problem’ parts.

My training in ShadowWork® and Tantra are different approaches to the same goal—including all of yourself. Whilst in some ways I can't separate them as they inform how I am with you—be that one-to-one or in a group context— I mostly use parts work based on ShadowWork® when working one-to-one, and the inspiration of Tantra in the group workshops.
What is ShadowWork®?
ShadowWork® is a specific way of interacting with different internal aspects of yourself (in this way it is similar to IFS: Internal Family Systems) which makes sense of your experience when different parts of you have quite different ideas about a situation, and provides the tools to unravel this, to make sense of confusing dynamics in your life and conflict inside yourself.
What is Tantra?
Tantra, in the way I use the word, is a bringing together of all that you are so that you can bring your whole self to your interactions with others—in an interactive, group situation. Of course the exercises we use aim to simplify things so it is manageable and learning is more accessible whilst still feeling your belonging in the group.

What my clients say…
-
Carmen
I found your facilitation amazingly attuned, creative and insightful. ... changes were happening virtually immediately. ... Each question we launched into the work with got 'answered' in an overwhelmingly revelational way.

I have complete trust in Bethan’s coaching and I felt relaxed, safe and free to express the fear and grief that I was feeling. ... I experienced being seen, validated and very supported. Bethan brought gentle insight and reflection, followed where I was drawn to go, yet maintained a structure to the session that brought clarity.
-
Bella
My sessions with Bethan proved to be both enlightening and challenging, I felt some results the following day, with a change in both perspective and levels of internal chatter. As I have previous experience of professional self-analysis with psychotherapists I was somewhat amazed. I felt safe to share and be vulnerable through-out, and was gently guided through the whole process. I would thoroughly recommend working with her.
-
Rikk
My biggest fear in booking these sessions was looking into the unknown and fear of what I would find… I actually learned so much about myself and was inspired.
-
Elaine
Bethan is a very down-to-earth, empathetic and nurturing facilitator. ... I also valued her experience and willingness to helpfully push some of my boundaries. ... I really felt enabled to face some dark and scary facets of myself in a controlled, safe and loving way. I would highly recommend Bethan

Geraldine
The sessions were fascinating and I learnt so much more about myself ... already I am understanding myself and how I react to things much more clearly. ... Bethan was professional, friendly and created a safe space for us to work. .... If you're reading this and thinking of working with Bethan I would say 'go ahead'. I can highly recommend her.
